Making most of KemmanaGundi

Well very first its a wonderful place to be, especially if you trek you need to be there.

Accommodation in Kemmangundi,

You need to be very careful here, there are no accommodation near kemmangundi expect horticulture department one, you need to book it earlier and sad part is the first answer you get most of the time when try to book the rooms is, its not available. you need to have some influence anyone from agriculture department will do try ur luck :-).

Selecting rooms, honestly they stink i mean it, they do stink, cost are very cheap 300rs i believe, try for datatraya Bhavan or Raj Bhavan if you are lucky, you will get one.

Food.

Vegeterian food you get meals, that's the only thing u get and its descent.Non-Vegetarian you need to order for that before. The ordering system is different. 1 KG chicken and they will do 2 items from it which ever you tell that's the way they take the order.

No Drinks - I mean you don't get drinks there, you need to go 15km from kemmanagundi to get it, so better carry them.

Trekking.

Very first is Z Point, its a nice long way to that, its actually z sign path which leads to a hill, if you really want to enjoy take the alternative path, as soon as u pass shanti falls (be very careful here its a very small fall but the rocks are very slippery you can easily hurt yourself), soon as u pass shanti falls there is a vertical climb towards right take that path u will reach adjusent hill to z point, here the fun begins trekking from this hill to the z point hill, its real fun. You can also trek to Hebbi falls i will come to that in a minute.

Hebbi Falls.

One of the amazing falls, just standing below that and watching the water fall its amazing.

you can always get into water and have a lot of fun, its around 8kms, you can always trek all the way but there are jeeps available which charge 650 per trip, don't even think of taking ur car there, its one of the worst road u can get, i saw couple of cars broken on the way. don't try it.

Comming back to hebbe falls trekking get into water, that's the fun part you can see lot of people trecking walking through the road which vehicles take, i don't think you need to go so far to do that, follow the water and u will reach the falls, nice cool walk :-).
